Tips on Turning Bids into Contracts

TIP OF THE WEEK:  Don’t forget the “Lead Date” when creating Projects.

Remember to record the “Lead Date” with all new requests for Projects.  The Dataforma system uses this date to create a very helpful “Lead Report” to monitor how many Leads turn into Bids and how many Bids turn into Contracts by Salesperson.

Each Dataforma user company programs the “Lead Event Type” in System Administration, General Company Defaults.  Users can enter this “Event” any time after the Project is created, but we recommend to record the date you learn of the bid opportunity during the creation of the Project.  If this date is not recorded as an “Event” for the Project, your “Lead Report” will be skewed… will look better than it actually is!!
