Customer Spotlight – API
RoofConnect has been a valuable partner of Dataforma since 2007. The initial interest in using Dataforma stemmed from an internal nightmare of aging AR and a disorganization of processes. Fast forward to present day where RoofConnect and Dataforma are working together on an API (Application Program Interface), currently in the testing phase to be rolled out later this year.
Jeremy Hill, VP of Operations at Roof Connect and Nathan Ware, Systems Process Engineer at RoofConnect have been an integral part of the API dialogue and build to easily share information together with Dataforma. As Roof Connect continues to grow, efficiency gains are important. The ability to use the Dataforma API is a vital part of continued effectiveness throughout the organization.
Daryl Maronic, Founder/President of Dataforma has witnessed the relationship between RoofConnect and Dataforma evolve over time. “The idea behind the initial meeting between the two companies (thirteen years ago ) was to offer Roof Connect a solution for communication in Real Time. Now Dataforma is working with Roof Connect to evaluate features and functions necessary for streamlining growth and time management through the API. The collaborative efforts have been amazing. As they are increasing volume, we have scalability in the Dataforma system to handle the continued growth of Roof Connect.”
Jeremy began his career at RoofConnect in 2010. One of the biggest hurdles he faced was a multitude of systems making data entry cumbersome. Working with Dataforma on this API to bridge this gap has been critical. Together with Nathan and other team members at RoofConnect, they are now using the API to clean up the “legacy data entry”.
Four months into his role at RoofConnect, Nathan was asked to work on a new project with Dataforma to see how the API could help with their needs. After looking “under the hood” to see where improvements could be identified he began working very closely with Dataforma to assess their API needs. Nathane has enjoyed being able to provide feedback on the new Dataforma API and has praised the technical team, led by Dataforma Head Developer Mitch Gaydash, to learn the new functionality. Response time and same day communication has been imperative to RoofConnect inquiries and testing of the API and Dataforma continues to build functionality based on RoofConnect’s specific needs.
With lofty goals on the horizon and a banner year in 2019, RoofConnect is looking forward to 2020 & continued API development with more modules. The integration of the API will save the RoofConnect employees valuable time spent on manual searches andprocesses, allowing them to focus on solving the needs of their customers. Roof Connect provides nationwide servicesin the commercial roofing industry through roof installation and roof maintenance offering a one stop resource for repairs.
